scour modeling piles of kambuzia industrial city bridge using hec-ras and artificial neural network

today, scouring is one of the important topics in the river and coastal engineering so that the most destruction in the bridges is occurred due to this phenomenon. whereas the bridges are assumed as the most important connecting structures in the communications roads in the country and their importance is doubled while floodwater, thus exact design and maintenance thereof is very crucial. f...

Behavior of human neural progenitor cells transplanted to rat brain.

Human neural stem/progenitor cells provide a useful tool for studies of neural development and differentiation, as well as a potential means for neuroreplacement therapeutic needs in the human CNS. Stem cells isolated from developing human central nervous system of 8-12-week fetuses were transplanted to the forebrain and cerebellum of young and adult rats after 14 days of in vitro expansion. Ce...

Observability of Neural Network Behavior

We prove that except possibly for small exceptional sets, discretetime analog neural nets are globally observable, i.e. all their corrupted pseudo-orbits on computer simulations actually reflect the true dynamical behavior of the network. Locally finite discrete (boolean) neural networks are observable without exception.

Distinct contributions of functional and deep neural network features to representational similarity of scenes in human brain and behavior

Inherent correlations between visual and semantic features in real-world scenes make it difficult to determine how different scene properties contribute to neural representations. Here, we assessed the contributions of multiple properties to scene representation by partitioning the variance explained in human behavioral and brain measurements by three feature models whose inter-correlations wer...

Brain Network for the Core Deficits of Semantic Dementia: A Neural Network Connectivity-Behavior Mapping Study

Individuals with semantic dementia (SD) typically suffer from selective semantic deficits due to degenerative brain atrophy. Although some brain regions have been found to be correlated with the semantic impairments of SD patients, it is unclear if the damage is actually responsible for SD patients' semantic disorders because these findings were primarily obtained by examining the roles of loca...
